With Molly and FLo - and Caz getting them out of the oven. They're AWESOME when you cook them on the oven bottom (need to clean it out with a wire brush - the kind of oven cleaning I can handle) - closest thing to wood fired I've had!)
THis is in the passage under the house that goes through to the garden - it was rainign (all the time, for months now) so we sheltered her to smoke... Like my own personal bus shelter!
Here's greg making fire - badly by the seem of it. More sensible than the first night where he dared me to inhale a lungful of coal smoke with the 'I'll do it if you do' line that just made it HAVE to happen... Enough benzene for life I recon.
THat's the reason for the whole mission in the background - proper ESSE range cooker, slow-cooking becons, we'd bought a load of stewing steak and oxtail in windermere so set about making a HUGE stew.
Greg at the controls getting all the stock veg ready for the oxtail stew - in the foreground there's a few bottles of Karl's homebrewed Porter we used for the gravy.
I mean this is as ugly as the ohter one! Will be taking all this out so you notice the size of the room and the awesome view, not the ugly furniture asap
NICE hey - what lovely carpeting and amazing bedroom furniture - gonna rip out the cupboards asap (well - move one to under stairs and prob replace ugly 80's doors with a curtain/drape and then this room will be MUCH better.
Spare room at the back (before getting filled with Caz's stuff)
You actually can't get through the door anymore, nice view out the back though so maybe one day we'll clear up all our stuff (check on eBay for a HUGE sell off!) and make this into a study...
More chimney sweepage - keep the blinds shut a lot of the time because a/ it's dark all the time, b/ it's been raining since November (November never ends these days!) c/ there's a road outside.
Come summer it will (hopefully) be a bit different...
